TJ: If I'm connecting a dvd/cd-rw drive to my computer which already has a cd drive, what slot in the sound card do I put the cd-r audio cable (tad or aux in?) Thank you in advance

In my experience people usually dont bother connecting it, if they want to listen to a CD they just put it in their existing drive.

You should be doing your disc to disc ripping digitally anyway (faster and higher quality) but even if you read the original CD in analogue i'm pretty sure your PC will have to send the information to the second drive digitally anyway.
You might want to double check though, i'm no expert in these matters.
