# Woo!...Dibnah is a bloody hero
he measured the height differential between his garden and a neighbouring river on tv last night - using string. and a bow and aroow. and a paper plate....and why? because he is building a replica mineshaft! I mean - how does he know it's a replica? isn't a hole a hole? How can you have a replica hole?...Dibnah - steam and metaphysical enquiry have never been so much fun...

# I saw the first installment
a while back, I loved the measuring bit with the bow and arrow (that was on the first version) that is why I am disappointed to have missed this one.

# is that the chimney guy?
there was an ancient old documentary on about him this morning
(, Fri 9 Apr 2004, 12:25, archived)
# yep...
he's a noisy bugger... (he lives in a hill btw)... we interviewed him for a media assignment in school and bored us to tears hilst explaining about a new pipe or something and the way steam flows down it..

I also knew somebody who lived opposite him and he used to wake everyone up at 5am with generators and steam pipes rattling....

noisy bastard...

# Extra hero
Fred IS the man. All mens stuff with no silly women talking about "take your shoes off, wash your hands, I like fluffy kittens" and such stuff. We should be proud to lick his arse, and what about that cheesecutter hat, enough grease there to count towards our oil reserves
