if it is, the american airforce never flew spitfires in the second world war.

but I'm just saying, you could've been slightly more historically accurate with the planes, yes I am aware of the film and all the hoohar, but I don't believe the film portrays the yanks flying spitfires.

Just saying, if hollywood was real, they wouldn't portray em in spitfires as they are british, they'd portray em in Mustangs.

I think you're misunderestimating my ability to find pictures to use!

(and yes, it looks like a spitfire)
EDIT: And thinking about it, I think there were some American spitfire pilots in the Battle of Britain ... possible only half a dozen or so, so ner.
(, Sun 5 Dec 2004, 13:27, archived)
but they were flying in RAF planes, not american ones so ner ner ner.
(, Sun 5 Dec 2004, 13:29, archived)
...but in every movie they make, they did EVERYTHING in the war, we did nada....hence the compo and the satyrical nature of the pic.....
(, Sun 5 Dec 2004, 13:28, archived)
but only a handful, and pictures of them are rare. but they did use them.
