I got a new mixer (Vestax) from the states the other weekand last weekend I went to Maplins and got a converter so that I could use the transformer which came with it. Plugged it all in, got really excited, turned it no - nothing worked. This worried me. I took the whole kit and caboodle down to Maplins on me lunch break and this guy helped me discover that the transformer was goosed and then gave me a replacement thransformer in exchage for the converter... I am now very happy because I was envisaging a protracted email argument with the place I got it from about me taking so long to report a fault and returning it blah blah blah. Anyway - true story.
