# you're australian, yes?
i'm doing research on australian literature.

do you have any favorite australian writers?

australian.

# hmmm
I can't say I know many Australian authors. The famous ones are Colleen McCulloch and Thomas Kinneally (not sure of the spelling).

Being a scifi fan, I rather enjoy the work of Sara Douglass and Matthew Reilly, neither of which I'd consider "Australian Literature" :)

Personaly I think the stereotyped 'aussie culture' of bbqs, flies, dingos, thongs (flipflops), arid sheep stations and the black stump to be rather boring.

I rather enjoyed a book called Changi Photographer by a guy named George Aspinal which is an illustrated tale of a guy taking photos during the Japanese occupation of Singapore.

Probably not a lot of help, but there y'go :)

# Separated at birth.
This looks a lot like Lewis Trondheim's "Mister O", both of these characters.
