good:
not crashed on me ever. (well, yet)
looks pretty
no worrying about viruses/spyware e.t.c.
connects brilliantly with pc stuff.
office:mac is better than pc version of office
ilife suite is great
great for coding
bad:
crap for games
overcomplicates 'easy' pc things
expensive to repair
not a pc.
personally i got my ibook as it worked out cheaper than buying a similar spec pc laptop.

i don't think it was an IE thing, it was a "redex" in all browsers.
