I never even suggested I wanted to, never discussed it. Just waited and did my own thing, kept it all as pleasant as possible and kept anything I got up to quiet, and then just when I'd decided it was definitely not happening (even got decree nisi) ... life, eh?

I sympathise with your position, mate. I was there for a long time, but for me things have changed. Just work on arrangements for the kids, and don't worry about anything else.
