if indeed it is true.
But without erradicating child labour completely from the world how can you really fix it? If Apple move off, another company will just come along and use these kids instead.

I'm just trying to get my head around what kind of effect suddenly paying them top dollar would have. Other than getting then mugged every pay day?

Well keeping them in a compound without any contact with the outside world is not very nice
though I guess clever because it will encourage people to get their whole family to join and people in lower economic situation have closer ties with extended family.

It is hard to say what the solution is.
