i once heard a creationist
argue that the story of the Ark was possible, because they put "precursors to today's animals on there, which multiplied into all the species we know today".
"ah, they evolved!" said the interviewer
"oh no, definitely not evolution! totally different! these are 'precursor' animals, not lesser-evolved animals. a completely different thing." said the creationist.
