Qui Gon is the first to learn how to "come back" which he teaches to Yoda and Obi-Wan. At no point would Vader have been taught by Qui-Gon this trick so would never be able to come back, let alone wearing jedi Robes which he never wore as he was always in Padawan gear or his goth kit.

this only occurred to me the other day when I caught the end of Jedi on telly
I don't think it's that sad, it's simply following a story and wondering why it's so massvely flawed yet loved by so many.
Lucas fucked up Episode 2 and 3 massiv ely by trying to please the fans. In doing so he skimped on the script that would actually make the whole thing fit together properly.
