I did try the SP1 RCand it did fix lots of stuff, like the network buggery you mention above. Unfortunately it killed Hibernation and the whole machine was Proper Shafted soon after.

I'm up for anything that kills hibernation.it is the first thing I disable on any M$ OS. Personal choice though.
