they're great in reminiscence (and actually were good in their days), but when you break out the ol' C64 to get "that feeling" again, it's mostly a collection of bad graphics, lagged controls and simple-minded gameplay. Nostalgia's meant to stay in one's head.
(except for some remarkable pearls like e.g. Civilisation)
