# why yes, i do.

(, Fri 12 Mar 2010, 3:06, archived)
# In that case, I've got two ideas for ya.
a) acquire some candy,

b) read (and, drastically, even buy) a book called "Renegade: the Lives and Tales of Mark E Smith" by Mark E Smith with Austin Collings.

I think it'll perplex and please you. Both, hopefully. I've read it twice, and laughed even more frequently the second time.

Oh, and obtaining a few Fall records (MES is the 'singer'/leader of The Fall) at the same time would only enhance things.

(I'd also recommend this book to anyone reading this. If you're reading this, you're already more than halfway there)

# Worth buying despite income (if that's a factor).
This is a profoundly disagreeable old bastard. Contradicts himself so often, it becomes the main comic theme of the book.

And (I'm guessing you're in the US) he's nicer about Americans than about anyone else.

# canada, ashally.
i do like the man's music, and while that's no indicator of liking the artist's prose, i will give it a go.

disagreeable and self-contradictory? sounds almost human.

# "almost human"
would be a highly astute summation of the man.

Very funny book, though. Sorry for misguessing your nationality.
