Horrible Histories does it again
Last series I posted the Charles Darwin as David Bowie song which seemed to go down quite well. The new series of HH is a few episodes in but they've already outdone themselves. Ladies and gentlefolk: Charles Dickens is Morrissey.

Maybe (well definitely in the case that kids are thick), but whenever I see Horrible Histories mentioned online its full of adults confessing they watch it. Maybe they're actually just performing for their biggest audience?

I've heard of it but never actually watched it.
Quite a clever thing to put stuff in their that appeals to the parents too though, keeps them entertained, kind of like a lot of kids films where they'll slip a sly adult joke in and the adults in the cinema will piss themselves laughing while the kids all look confused, then the kids laugh like they understood it, but the adults know they didn't because kids are stupid.

The songs they do are almost always aimed at the adults (Sex Pistols, Monkees pastiche were highlights last series). Think the most recent one I picked up on was Lady Gaga.
You UK or overseas based? Most of this series are still on iplayer:

The Horrible History books are just about pitch perfect in every way, I wasn' t sure how well it'd make on TV
But these are brilliant, The HH Christmas special from a few years back was the best thing ever!

Brilliant
I thought the best song that kids would ever get is the Pancake Day song from Maid Marian. I was wrong.
