Would be more impressive if, after all that effort, he'd taken some time to get the dialogue accurate.
"Commander, tear this ship apart until you've found those plans and bring me -------- alive." The ambassador, I want her? No: the passengers, I want THEM.
"There she is, set for stun"? No: "There's ONE, set for stun."
I don't understand how you can have the ludicrously detail-obsessed knowledge of the film creating that absolutely required, and then fuck up the dialog from the first three minutes.
On the up side - Han shoots first.
