If we still have FPTP isn't this always going to be a bit of a waste of time? That is...if historical boundaries are such for practical reasons changing to get proportional areas under FPTP seems nonsensical?

Of course that means nothing in the decision as to whether we keep it as our only route to any form of democracy.
