I tried last year
Around Febuary time. I had to get bank statements, as proof of employment and driving licence ID and bloody passport copies as well as an independent statement from a professional (read: GP) - it was a bloody arse ache. Eventually once the documentation was done they wouldn't accept a credit card payment (has to be debit card or cheque, FFS!!) and then when I had everything ready, it turns out they wouldn't deliver to London anyway, after all that.
