when all that turns out to have been a stunt to plug an otherwise dull and mediocre movie, that will probably sell here and there on DVD, other than flopping at the box office

But, maybe this is the United State's impetus to stop sanctions against North Korea like we just did for Cuba. It's failing after all.

This is a normal post But it wasn't only the criticism of the top brass. It also released pay scales, medical information, private cell phone numbers, names that celebrities go by incognito and social security numbers.
I can't see that Sony would release something that would release this personal information or harm their top brass. Poor Brangelina.

George Clooney had a (surprisingly) good piece about it, trying to get stars to fight against such censorship, but couldn't get the lily livered stars to sign on.

Nothing you've pointed out has shaken the pillars of heaven even for that completely artificial place. Has somebody like George Lucas really had to replace his mobile number because of a sudden influx of deranged calls? He's the sort of guy who could change a number at the snap of his fingers. And seriously, what use is his social security number in the hands of some nefarious villens? Seriously. Medical information is also a bit meaningless, if it wasn't all bullshit anyway, as is their pay scales. I think everybody knows how much all these people are paid.

And who quite frankly cares, or is even looking at, anybody else lower down in Sony's pecking order. If any of the information is even real for their employees..

This is a normal post The hack didn't just hit the higher ups, it hit all of Sony's employees, including the little guys
And with a name, address, birthday and social security number you can steal someone's identity, which really can be costly.

I don't think either of us know the answer. If heads start to roll at Sony, or if they lose their big names, then it will be telling.

I refuse to believe a corporate company as big as Sony are this vunrable to hackers are any less protected than the government.

I think this is one of the odd occasions where it doesn't matter, I remember many hours trying to stabilise shots just to give up cos it looks like the world is melting.
