Wedding
Went to a wedding recently. The food was bought to our table on some buffet tier thing. They didn't give serving spoons, so we used our dessert spoons. Five minutes later, a bloke comes over to tell us that we weren't supposed to have started eating as grace hadn't been said yet, and the happy couple weren't back in the room.

I'm sorry, but the food was bought to the table at 9pm. The church service started at 1pm. In between then we were given some cocktail sausages and juice. I was starving, and I'm an atheist, so couldn't care less whether the food was blessed or not.

» The nicest thing someone's ever done for me

My younger brother...
...will make someone an excellent husband one day.

1) he just sat with me whilst I cried myself dry after finding out a friend of mine was killed. He didn't have to say anything, just sitting with me was enough.

2) when my immune system goes on strike, he makes me Lemsip/hot ribena/tea and gets me some medicine

3) he pushes me to going into hospital when my asthma flares up. I dont like going to casualty as I feel as though I'm wasting resources that could be spent on people who need more than I do.

» Workplace Boredom

Cardboard entertainment centre.
During the summer of last year, I went back to my old place of employment to earn money to pay the following year's university fees. Three of the guys on my team managed to make a cardboard entertainment center out of all the disused boxes we had scattered about. This comprised of:

tv set
ps2
ps2 controllers
speakers
sky plus box
remote control

They even made different pictures to stick on the tv so they could change the channel.

Fun times.

Homeless boy.
A week ago I was on my way to the bus stop when I spotted a young homeless boy, who could not have been more than 15. I walked passed him as I was in a hurry, and promised myself that if I saw him again, I'd do something to help him.

Well today I saw him again when going to get my travel card. I got my ticket, then went over to him and asked him if he wanted anything. All he wanted was a milkshake and a packet of crisps. I also noticed we were being watched by two young girls, around his age. I went into the shop, got him his milkshake and crisps, as well as some tissues and Wispa, and went back to him. Those two girls were talking to him and had given him a cigarette. I gave him his goods and walked away, desperately holding back the tears.

It saddens me to see such a young boy out on the streets and cant even begin to imagine what got him there in the first place :(

» Why I was late

Animal magic.
Not mine, but given by a pal who's life was cut short last year by a twat of a 17 year old who was driving without having taking his test.

Mate walks into class late, and declares there was a horse loose on the road. He elaborated the story, and the teacher accepted the excuse.

Rest in peace AJ. *sheds tear for dead friend and sharpens axe for twatty outh*
