: STAR WARS 'DELETED SCENE'
Please don't sue us George Lucas.
Chicago Dave - famous for his top quality
photoshops - has been playing with video.
We laughed out loud at his subtle subversion
of a scene from the first Star Wars film.
BTW: It's a 3MB video file - so start
downloading and check out some of the other
stuff in the newsletter before watching.

WEEBL ON MTV - long time B3ta favourite
Jonti has recently been commissioned to put his
world famous Pie animations on TV. They are
on each and every day starting 9:58pm next
Monday. Watch. (If you've got MTV. We haven't.
But he lives downstairs, which is nearly as
good.)

: NEW KITTEN BAND
The Vines - Outtathaway
Joel's series of Kitten Band animations have
been extraordinarily successful. He's been
interviewed by The Wall Street Journal and
managed to sell several t-shirts.
"Woo", writes Joel, "Woo. Woo. Woo."
And now? He's made screaming angry kittens,
playing live on a pool table.
Turn up the sound and rock out.

: REALISTIC INTERNET SIMULATOR
Kill the pop-ups
We know what you like about the web. It's not
all that witty text or the pretty pictures. No,
it's the exciting pop-ups that jump up in your
face.
We made this fantastic game so you can tell
how good you are at the internet. BTW: Turn
up the sound - we're proud of the music.

: WHAT B3TA PEOPLE HAVE BEEN MAKING THIS WEEK
Old TV ads, Bubbles game, Nasty thing
>> Celebrate Halloween - Clown Style <<
Matazone is a bit of a dude. He made the 'spicy
brains' kitty cartoon which caught the
worlds imagination and spawned a catchphrase.
His latest? A sinister animated poem about
clowns.

>> Classic Ad Archive <<
Bigdave writes, "I have just set up a new page of
cheesy 80s ads, including classics like Finger
of Fudge and 5-4-3-2-1." It's a nostalgic treat.

>> Bubbles Redux <<
Tomsk has unleashed version two of his bubbles
game. Now there is a high score table so you
can test your bubble popping skills against the
best bubble poppers in the world.

>> I Love You ... Thing <<
What could be more touching than a loved one
saying, "I love you more than kittens"? Probably
not this. James Lattimore, you are strange in
the head.

-------------------------------------------------
: UK TV PRESENTER IN VIRAL EMAIL SCANDAL
Woo.
John Leslie, who first made his name as a
presenter on the BBC children's programme
Blue Peter, now faces a trial by media which
looks certain to severely damage his career.
B3ta boarder Murray made a pic. It caught
the moment and within the space of the day
went round the world. "I was amazed when I
received it back from New Zealand mid-afternoon
yesterday", he says.
Anyway. If you were one of the few people who
didn't see it, here it is.

: SITES IN BRIEF
Stuff we like that wasn't made by our mates.
>> What Google thinks of you <<
This is a neat project. It automatically
searches for phrases associated with whatever
you put in the box. Takes all the effort
out of coming up with an opinion.
http://www.googlism.com/
>> Muffin animation <<
Fact about muffins: They aren't from space.
However, these guys beg to differ.
http://www.muffinfilms.com/ufm.html
>> Face thing <<
Take 20 photos. Cut them in half. Make a
new face by matching them up. It's extremely
well done and kept us amused for about 20
minutes.
http://www.ericmyer.com/stereotypes.htm
>> Cyber lover <<
Infomercial style comedy sketch. Do you have
trouble getting sex? Then maybe Herb Zipper
can help you out.

: B3TA IMAGE CHALLENGE
Results from the 'Badly Misheard' Challenge
Each week we run a competition to test your
creative skills. We set a challenge and you
open Photoshop and mess with our heads.
Last week we wanted badly mishead instructions:
http://b3ta.com/challenge/misheardinstructions/
We asked B3ta boarder 'razor' to judge the
huge number of entries - here are his 3 faves.
Razor writes -
#1 "Not-so-wise-men - I still find this amusing
even when I go back to it. Highly original,
top marks! (been flikin)
http://www.b3ta.com/board/4/2/1/6/4/4
#2 "Dave's new job - Genius as always. A lion
tamer? Timer? Yes something that continues
to make me laugh (slim)
http://www.b3ta.com/board/4/3/2/4/7/2
#3 "Why don't you join us in a cup of tea? -
A simple and well implemented entry. The
expression on the chaps face says it all.
Bravo to this gag." (Brianftang)
