# U is Untouchables
(, Sat 24 Dec 2011, 22:11, archived)
# M is Mannequin.
U is Untouchables.
X is Xanadu.
Y is Youngblood.
Z is Zeitgeist.

# To think I missed all but the Untouchables
I've never seen any of the other movies all the way through I feel in someway ashamed.

# My VHS tastes were more into the gore/horror genre
Exorcist, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Masacre, the Jimmy Hills have Eyes etc. ;)

# I'm down with that, ma'am.
My love for horror surpasses all other genres, but I can never say no to a fresh cinematic possibility.

EDIT: Jimmy Hills? Chinny reck-on!

# hahahah CHINNY RECKON!!

# I guess that's why I didn't get x y x being as I;v never heard of them !

# I know Xanadu was Olivia Newton John
but I have no idea what the movie was about.
(, Sat 24 Dec 2011, 22:22, archived)
# Oh I'v just reread what he said for Z
If it's Zeitgeist (The polical looney people) who want everything to be free, I'v heard of it because my friend is insane and talks about them all the time, goes to conferences and lectures about it... he's a fucking nutter...

# Apologies - I meant 'Zelig'.
(, Sat 24 Dec 2011, 22:31, archived)
# Is it any good? I might give it a go.

# Also have you heard of the q one?
(, Sat 24 Dec 2011, 22:35, archived)
# Q the monster is a pretty shonky stop-motion creation, but the film is a solid detective/horror story.
And the movie showed a lot of love for the Chrysler Building, which was almost derelict at the time of filming.
It has since been restored to its former glory, thanks, (in part), to this flick.

# i remember it being on moviedrome many years ago
i also remember it as 'Q, The Wing'ed Serpent'.

# It's Woody Allen doing Forrest Gump, 10 years earlier.
I like Woody Allen, so it was a no-brainer, for me.
Quirky, yet hardly ever given a fair crack of the whip on TV.
(, Sat 24 Dec 2011, 22:43, archived)
# I always like Woody Allen films
just pure comedy at it's best
(, Sat 24 Dec 2011, 22:48, archived)
# It's either "Sleeper" or "What's Up, Tiger Lily?" for me.
And all the others, up until 1987, have something of merit.
He kind of died away, after that.

# I don't know which film it was maybe Sleepers where he tries to rob a jewellers and cuts a circular hole in the window
and decides to keep the circle of glass and run away rather than rob the jewellers that always made me laugh.
(, Sat 24 Dec 2011, 23:05, archived)
# Not Sleepers
...Take The Money And Run.

Or the glass, in this case.

# Zeitgeist is definitely worth a watch, in a weird, pre-Forrest Gump stylee.
The other two suck balls.

# Ar just looked.... you not talking about these lunartics then..!

# Very good!
Z should be Zelig... no I had never heard of it either :)
(, Sat 24 Dec 2011, 22:25, archived)
# Zelig is a brilliant film.
(and a big woo to the pic)

# Ah, that's where I'm going wrong...
I thought U was Dirty Rotten Scoundrals and Z was Zardoz (which I think was 70s.) Both good Sean Connery films, well, not Zardoz, but neither were correct.

Also I don't remember that bit of Ferris Bueller's Day Off...
