ok?
Just a suggestion
which I made earlier. To diffuse some of this tension over the challenge, why don't those who don't like it turn images off in their browsers, and only view the images which aren't challenge entries?

because i don't have a problem with the shit comp
as such.
but come on, be more original than putting a fucking hood onto any picture

it was actually a piss take
since there is so much spam for this comp
But there ya go.
didn't your mum ever tell you that "if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all"

what kills me is that this compo
is basically a bandwagon.
for which i've had my head taken off.
edit: i do not think the post is crap. i think it's great, as most bandwagons are. :)

Not really.
There's a bandwagon within every challenge, except maybe last weeks, but there's been some very individual posts as well already.

well, virtually every challenge
can be construed as a bandwagon, but some lend themselves more readily than others. this one and the smoking one leap to mind, from the recent challenges. it's easy to slap a hood or a cigarette in any image and call it a compo entry.
the "new uses for children" and "if cats ruled the world" competitions, conversely, have no visual meme (cigarette, hood, etc) that make it painfully simple to create a legitimate challenge entry.
