# Got frickin loads of stuff for Hummus#1...

This is before about quarter of it's in! Considering getting them printed as books by cafepress vaguely... anyone know if that's sensible?

# It depends on
what the binding quality is like - you could print them yourself on nice paper and then get a bookbinder to do it. Bookbinders are cool.

# i have
a book binding machine
(, Tue 9 Sep 2003, 16:33, archived)
# I'm intrigued.
But I can't help but think it's the kind of suggestion that'll end up not happening...

# now i don't need to buy it,
mwahahaha!

# it would be cheaper to find a friend who
works near a duplex printer.
(, Tue 9 Sep 2003, 16:23, archived)
# I think its best
to do a small run first, just to see who's wants a copy and how many people want copies.
(, Tue 9 Sep 2003, 16:24, archived)
# There're
plenty of small time printers around that can do decent copies quite cheaply.

Lots of printers are in dire straits at the moment and can be haggled with quite easily too.

# may i recommend
this guy:

Smallzone

# this is his price list:
He's pretty cheap and he will also take it around to comic fairs and stuff...

# That's absolutely magic. Cheers BRS.

As soon as I've put it together I reckon we should use him.
(, Tue 9 Sep 2003, 16:38, archived)
# No worries
He's a really nice bloke too - really helpful - and encouraging.

He was one of the first people i looked at before we realised he just couldn't handle our print run.
(, Tue 9 Sep 2003, 16:41, archived)
# I can only click on his price list
when I click your other link, IE quits on me.
[edit] sorted now. Thanks mate.

# I know I can just take it to an instant print place
and get them to duplex photocopy it, fold it and staple it all for quite a reasonable price, I was just thinking it's all getting rather large now! You know, we're coming on for like forty pages already!
(, Tue 9 Sep 2003, 16:32, archived)
# Blimey,
can you split it up into two comics?
(, Tue 9 Sep 2003, 16:36, archived)
# Don't get all Kill Bill on me now!
I reckon (look at above price list) 100 copies for that ain't that bad!
I don't think we should bother with a colour cover though, as it took you long enough to get that pussy over to me!
(, Tue 9 Sep 2003, 16:39, archived)
# You may even
get a comic page as well.
HOLY SHIT!!
(, Tue 9 Sep 2003, 16:40, archived)
