"we're going to need a bigger meme"
TJ - Does anyone know how to print out in black and white off an Epson printer when the colour cartridge has run out? I've set it to print in black only but it tells me the colour cartridge is empty and refuses to go any further.
Are the days of black and white only printing over?
*edit* cheers for the help. Looks like a hand-drawn birthday card is in order. Epson suck oily farts.

Can't do it,
you need the colour cartridge to print the white bits.

Hmmm.
have you tried taking the colour one out and putting it back in? sometimes fools it into thinking it is full again.
also check that you set black and white in printer settings not just the programs print settings

epson printers assume if you change a cartridge, you wouldn't be so stupid as to insert an empty one - so it must be full. take it out and put it back in again.
edit ... *if you care, this means that the level indicators on the print windows are lies. it guesses. I know this because my magenta cartridge is blocked so still full but the level decreases with the other colours on the indicator.... fucknuckle*

Epson are bastards . . .
I think they're set so if any color is out you'll have to buy the lot :(

turn off the colour in the printer settings as opposed to tattyshop or whatever
you could also try removing the empty cartridge

Cut out the black bits on your screen and then use it as a stencil.
