# correct the force of the impact would cause the internal organs and meaty bits to tear open the skin
thus splat would occur, maybe not as severe as the picture suggest but given enough distance then yes, splat would occur.

they do so so as to not disturb people with horrific gore. The amount of blood from such a fall is gorey enough but in many movies the body is hardly damaged at all which is stupid.
