CATS ARE ANIMALS NOT PEOPLE!
Damn, but honestly!
Just give him the tinned stuff, if you only give him that then he'll bloody eat it.

won't tho
don't think she's too well, can you imagine eating the same shit for years
I don't think I could manage
haha, yes, I'm aware cats are animals not people, this does not preclude the fact that the cat wants something decent to eat

If you give her nothing but cat food she will eat cat food.
Cats will eat before they die - if it means she goes hungry for 3 days, so be it, but she will.
Our cats and dogs ate dog or cat food because I only ever opened one tin. They didn't always want to, but they did.

to be honest, I'd have prefered to have fed them on meat from day one
not really a big fan of processed crap irrespective of whose guts it ends up in, and yes, I'm aware that petfood is made to a higher standard than human food, but like, meh, I fike like dogvomit at the moment so I don't care

It's hardly processed,
it's meat. In a tin.
Fucking hell, it's basically exactly the same as pate and it's convenient for you and, as an added bonus, it's nutritionally balanced for your pet.

One day
...I invited a colleague from my new job round my house. We sat there with my housemates in silence staring as the cat sat in the middle of the room licking her bits.
My housemate broke the ice with "I wish I could do that"
Before brain engaged I followed with "You wish you could lick my cats minge?"
Great way to build a good rep at a new job, go me!
