18 years and I'd managed to forget it all, and NOW! Gah!

Looks like EVERYONE EVER used the same Latin books in school.

'Quantum' is a latin word meaning 'how much'/'how many'.
It's the word 'quantity' is derived from, I'd guess.

It's also where Quantum is derived from
as a modern word. Levels of probability.

My apologies.
I thought this was about quantum position probability densities, rather than just Latin per se.

my physics teacher at school
used to talk about Brownian motion by singing it to the tune of Brown Girl in the Ring by Boney M
"Brownian Motion - tralalalala"

Our drunk teacher
used to do it to the tune of The Locomotion.
Mind you, the Brownian Motion is a cracking good dance when you haven't actually got a mosh pit handy.

My physics
teacher got pissed in the pub with my mum. She brought him home and he passed out in the toilet and made me go in there to wake him up.

Yeah technically it's be 100% everywhere with the quantum possiblity for being nowhere at the same time.

Actually
you'd have a probability cloud of location covering the whole theme park. It would theoretically be possible to tell where you were at any given time, but you'd have no idea which ride you were going on next.

yay
i love it when people start arguing about physics on b3ta :¬)

the more sure about which ride you are on
the less sure how fast it's going, and vice versa.
maybe.
