I would have loved to have seen the Temeraire in all her glory. Line ships GMTFH!
Sadly what you see in the painting is a load of bollocks that Turner made up because when they actually towed her in for demolition she was a rusting hulk with no mast or rigging aloft.

and the excuse that it's near to the station and therefore 'handy for everyone' does not wash with me either. I arrive at Euston ffs. There are even better places in walking distance from the Imperial.
Why they don't meet up West is beyond me.

Earls Court is 20 mins from Euston and I run a backpackers so loads of beds within 30 seconds walk!
