Well, aged 12 it didn't really matter to me. I was more irritated that I lost two days of television, one when she died and the second for the funeral. Seeing as it ws the weekend, I was a bit miffed.

I feel your painI was in America at the time, and had lots of americans coming up to me and saying "I was so sorry to hear Diana died"
I felt like saying "I'm not because she was a neurotic horse faced idiot with more money than sense".
Heowever I'm too polite for that and just smiled and nodded incredulously.
