When I go to London with too much luggage
I get a taxi from Paddington to Kings Cross, costing 20 quid - is this what a Londoner gets charged? Bloody rip off.

Paddington to Kings Cross?
Im sure that shouldnt be anywhere near that much. But is it in a Black Cab? If so, its not really easy for them to totally rip you off as they have the fare counter. The only way they can do it is if they have it set to the night fares....
Edit: This is how far it is too....

Ah! The taxi never seems to take the route you have shown on the map....methinks they know I am a silly Westcountry person :P

To be honest with you though,
the straight route isnt always the quickest when it comes to that area of London. Also, there have been a hell of a lot of roadworks around Kings Cross and Paddington over the last few years. Although maybe that is a bit steep. It is only a few miles....

And why the hell not!
Bloody foreigners!
Why would anyone get a cab anyway from Farringdon to St Pauls. Its only a 2 minute walk :)
