Strangely, I'm not surprised, they do seem to excell at being doing things half arsed and dumbfuck
eg. did you know SKY+ boxes use exactly the same amount of leccy 'turned off' as turned on and it's written into your contract that you must not disconnect it from the mains?

Imagine what that means for a country full of them...
