Question:
Best (and easy to learn) vector-drawing ap?
I'm using MMFlash at the moment and it's a bit tedious.
EDIT: I'm not using it for tracing like most of the vector stuff on here. It's for creating original artwork which is then scalable.

can i jack your thread
anyone know of a good site for finding a generic multimedia driver??

you confuse me.
The driver must be for a specific hardware product so you need the manufacturer's driver and not a 'generic' one.
Are you thinking of codecs?

You get generic drivers
for things like webcams, that make the basic features work but probably ignore any fancier proprietary features.

I understand that.
I'm just confused as to what a multimedia driver is. There must be a product?

i'm not sure of the make of the sound card
so i was hoping i could get a "generic" driver - maybe i'm just being to optimistic! :D

Can you open up the computer
and look at the sound card? It might have the manufacturer and model printed on it.

i could
but its a neighbours computer and i dont really want to go pulling it all out (or the computer!)

ah ok, a sound card.
watch this space.
download the free lite version of this
www.sisoftware.co.uk/index.html?dir=&location=downandbuy&langx=en&a=
read the report and find the bit about the audio card and see whet it reports. It may have a link to the manufacturer if it recognises the card.
Sadly there are too many platforms ( soundmax, cmedia, soundblaster etc. ) that are not similar in operation so a 'one driver fix' is unlikely.

I would suggest Inkscape or Omnigraffle (mac only)
but I suspect we are talking about different types of vector drawing apps.. :)

Yeah, way to pigeon-hole me. I'm a smug, Starbucks-drinking mac user. :-/
Well, that said, there is a Starbucks mug next to me on the desk...

Best
will always be illustrator.
Easiest to learn. Probably Xara. ( it practically does it for you if you let it )
Oh and CorelDraw is worth a look.

Inkscape's lovely.

Not as advanced as Illustrator (no meshes, I believe) but a much nicer price.

Dude, it´s over 2MB!
A hint: the animation looks like it´s in slow motion. You don´t need all those frames to make it work.
