.yes i have to rename the .jpg file to a .txt so the stupid "Hosted by Lycos" picture doesnt come up....but it should work regardless of being on a Mac

it's broken for meusing mozilla under linux. I think it's because webservers have to say what type of content is in each file they serve, and some browsers believe that, while others seem to ignore that and have a look at the file instead.
Or the less technical answer... Naming image files as .txt doesn't work for everyone - I would move to better hosting.

I don't knowa lot about free hosting - my site is on paid for hosting. A lot of people seem to recommend MSN groups for b3ta stuff, but it looks like it's a bit tricky to work that out the first time. I think people also recommend lycos.co.uk (not lycos.com)
