# Cunt him in the Fuck Peter!
The whole Pink Panther thing has lost all it's appeal now that talentless twunt is Inspector Cluseau.

/sorry a bit of a rant there.

# I'm with you about 75% on that one bud....
But to be fair to him, Steve Martin DID make a good movie (black comedy) about 8 years ago with Helena Bonham Carter.

Unfortunately, his reputation as box-office poison meant it died a death, but I quite liked it.

# I only meant that Steve Martin is talentless in the sense he cannot bring anything good to this Pink Panther series
His early stuff was brilliant but so short lived and he burnt himself out - I've not seen that black comedy and don't doubt he can pull the good stuff out when required but as far the big box office stuff is concerned he just comes across as some has-been burnt out comedian who long since expired his best-by-date.

Like so many others. Leslie Neilson, for example. They go for the easy, lowest-common-denominator laughs now by pulling faces or acting manic and appearing in "Look, there's a joke at this point, please laugh" films.

# True, Leslie Neilson was great
as he was always taken as a serious actor in the early years of his career and only Police Squad and Airplane brought out the satire/parody that was inherent in serious acting and so Neilson was a perfect foil for that kind of spoof - unfortunately when he continued with the parody taking it too far he became most famous for parodies and not the serious acting that made him famous thereby he became old hat very quickly and unlikely as an option for any serious film parts.

Self-stereotyping = career suicide.

# Yes unfortunately too many of the greats have gone down that path
Luckily for Jim Belushi however - he managed to die before he got typecasted lol ;)

[challenge entry] Hmm.

I spent a good 10 minutes doing this, then realised I had just madea picture of Steve Martin without a moustache.
