I hope it makes sense... there may well be a specific replacement for the oedipus complex that I don't know about, but I really would doubt it. I haven't really studied Freud properly for some years.

it's likely that Jungian methods may have replaced the oedipus complex as he was a Freudian who rejected that theory... it's a possibility, I'm really not sure, I'm afraid.
