and defend ITV.
Dropping the South Bank show was the result of the Government reducing their public-service agenda.
They've wanted to drop it for years, but it was the only show that fulfilled their Arts coverage remit.

To be honest, I never really liked the South Bank Show, and I'm usually into faggy art programs. In our time is a classic though.
