I'm heading to London for a few days and wondered if any fellow b3tans wish to meet up for a beverage or 3?
Any venue choices are welcome as I am not from that neck of the woods.
The Pub formerly known as The Goose (Marquis of Cornwallis)
Ethelred's London Mini-B3sh
Going: Ethelred, thealternativefact, wanderlust, wellgroomedwookiee, mistaspakkaman, bill, fuck shit up, Devil_In_Tights (8 people).
I cannot guarantee I can make this for various, boring reasons, but it's more likely I will than won't, so I have signed up.
Whereabouts in London will you be staying?

staying in a hotel near City Airport, so pretty much able to get anywhere of choice :)
Anyone got any preferences?

It's just two days from the Southhampton bash that I've already signed up for.

we'll think of somewhere reasonably central then. There are some nice pubs near Russell Square/Euston if that's not going to be too far from your hotel.
We can decide nearer the time, if you're happy to do that, Ethel.

Anyone up for hosting this in a place with a Karaoke machine and turning this into a Karaoke bash?

As much fun as that sounds I can assure you no one wants to hear me sing. It will make your ears bleed.

reminds me of this (advance to 5:42 if you don't want to see the whole thing).

But agreed...no karaoke. Sudden outbursts of dunken song are entertaining, but organised warbling in front of a microphone is a crime.

to be at this one or I'm not going to see you lovely lot for ages

I'm not going to be able to make this, got a band practice that night.

The Marquis of Cornwallis (The Goose, as was) is a few steps from Russell Square tube station - gets a bit busy, but it's a good pub.
Just a suggestion though - if anyone has a good pub in town to suggest, go ahead!

about having a gander at the goose, but as it's not called that anymore it seems pointless.
Oh well, I'm happy to go there anyway!

and lack of reliable teleportation methods available, I may not be able to attend until rather late.
I'll be in York until at least early evening so will be a serious (and frankly illegal) mission to get to the pub on time I'm afraid :(

You mean we have to stay in pub for hours? Drinking?

So I'm not going to be there!
Because I'm going to a gig instead, haha!
