2006 Almanac (This challenge is now closed)
What will happen in 2006? As we say good riddance to 2005 and bid hello to the new year, we want to know what's going to happen in the next 12 months. Predictions, please... UPDATE: Keen-eyed people will notice that we're now ordering the challenge pages by votes. This means the first page of the challenge will feature the highest-rated images. Which should both make the page more fun to read and also offer an incentive: Have you got what it takes to get on the popular page? Oh, and if you're bored then feel free to explode the old challenges as anything from games for geeks backwards hasn't been voted on and it's all to play for.

at odds of 3-2 on, Mort will become the first to cross the Atlantic in a paper boat.
PS, if you're wondering about the means of propulsion, there's a propellor under the water, powered by a tightly-wound rubber band.

I agree
The Entire Royal Family is wiped out in an unfortunate
Hollywood-style photographic - water and electricity based
accident. Due to the Queen loving Rolf's portrait so much
she named him 53rd in line for the throne...

Turin, 2006 winter olympics
last-minute changes in the rules for shooting targets have made biathlon a very popular viewing sport.

Poor Billy never gets a break. Homicidal use of TNT is just the latest fad.
July 17th 2006:
After a shower of unusaul clocks in the Red River Valley, some joker with a bag of Nitro will blow-up Billy (again) for no apparent reason.
