This is a normal post Excellent
I used to love Krazy - the annuals were always yellow as I recall - and the spin-off Cheeky comic. Ahhh,.. halcyon days.

I love how you've captured how 'subversive' it felt at the time. Compared to the other comics it felt more like 'The Tube' than 'Top of the Pops'. I'm sure it's very tame be today's standards.

Love your blog. Added to favourites.

This is a normal post Thank you!
I'm not *quite* old enough to have read these as a child (I always had hand-me-down annuals, mind)but I think Krazy and Cheeky are titles that really stand up well today compared to their contemporaries. Also coming up: Jackpot, Wow! and Nutty.

Nutty used to give away some great freebies.

Looking forward to it.

I don't remember Krazy as such, but it all looks very familiar somehow.

This is a normal post I had that comic..
I remember that exact back cover. Used to love the covers. And Krazy always felt a bit more rebellious than those common Dandy\Beano mob.

I used to have the complete collection from issue one... until they were stolen by the hurricane in 1990. Wind nicked the shed from the back garden, and with it my comics.

Will have to raid the parents loft at Xmas as I'm sure there are still some old annuals up there.

Sorry for your loss...

Happy to have brought back some memories though!

This is a normal post Thanks for the memories...
Yeah, certainly kicked up some very weird memories. That exact comic cover from '77 and the back with the cracker on it.

It is weird how the mind works... everything in your post sprang to mind. Hence the mourning over the loss of the comic collection. I forgot how different krazy was! Probably explains some of the odd way I react to the world now.

Your blog has a been a great little thing to see pop-up. Keep it up. Thanks for the effort you are purting in.
