Possibly.
Or some massive electrical failure that means the override system wasn't working.
Personally, I think it's because someone didn't have their phone on "plane" mode, and it crashed the plane.

It doesn't need to be a massive failure
A single faulty wire would do it.
Starting to look like a deliberate act on the behalf of one of the crew though. Again.
