This is a normal post feels like there's been a serious slump in Japanese game dev for a while now
Team Ico, Kojima, Namco all failing to hit the highs they used to.

Edit - Knomai suddenly trending on Twitter, they've delisted themselves from the Stock Exchange

This is a normal post From Software are doing pretty good
Bloodborne's met good reception all round, and they've been going since the 80s. They also have a few real gems in their back catalogue, not just Demon's/Dark Souls.

If Ground Zeroes is anything to go off, The Fountain Pen Phantom Pain will be a really good game, if a bit too gritty and serious compared to other MGS games. Its a shame about Silent Hills though, and to be fair Kojima has been saying he wanted out from MGS and Konami since Snake Eater.

Also, the giant that is Square-Enix is churning out plenty of acceptable games, and the odd really good one, quite consistently.
