ahahahahahaha
it's not even in an especially rough area of Brighton. I note from the google plus reviews that the only good ones come from people who can't spell their own names 'Daren' and 'Gsry'.
Seriously doubt it's our worst boozer. We've got the whole of West Street for fucks sake.

I'd hate to see West Street closed down
As it stands it's easy to avoid 90% of all known saturday night shitheads simply by steering clear of that one street

Is true.
I particularly enjoy the mental jarring caused by the equally ugly but very different crowds outside a. Walkabout b. The wetherspoon c. whatever that ghastly place beside the Odeon entrance is called this week.

A few years ago
I was meeting the mrs at the the Odeon and walked past the night club queue. At the time I had a 'two and a half' haircut and I was wearing my darkest work suit. For some malicious impulse type reason I said 'not in those shoes' to some lad. Who exploded with explanations of how they were really expensive loafers and totally met the dress code. And who followed me into the cinema before realising I wasn't a bouncer.

Leave it there for as a decoy, otherwise they'll spread out and spoil the rest of the city.

Pubs in Brighton worth drinking in
Lord Nelson,
Prince Albert
Heart and Hand
Anywhere out of town that serves Harveys and that is also apparently named after an intimate piercing.

With you on the Nelson and Heart & Hand.
I'd choose the White Rabbit and the Earth & Stars over the Albert though.
Hove way I'd go for the Robin Hood, and Better Half. Or anywhere with Dark Star on tap.

not sure I liked the rabbit. with you all the way on the E&S. Heard good things about the robin hood.
What's the Lobster one off Brunswick? That's ok.
And Dark Star fine for you young modernists. But Harveys is trad, dad. You simply can't beat a well kept Harveys - it don't travel far. Try the cricketers at Alciston

Lion & Lobster?
Know of it but can't recall going in there myself, will give it a look next time we're on the lash.
Alciston is a pig to get to unless you're driving, and Harvey's is too good to stick to a single pint. Maybe if I persuade the better half that she'd like a Sunday roast...
