It was just that.
Years of whipping out a camera every time a curved staircase appeared. The most surprising part was that only two of the clips couldn't be uploaded due to copyright issues. One was Michael Caine being pushed down a flight of stairs.

Challenging diy
I have enough problems with vertical and horizontal without introducing curves into the mix - you’ll notice ikea doesn’t do curbed bookshelves
