Yeah, this is very true.
An IQ of 100 is far from bright, and 50% of humanity is below this. Of the remaining 50%, most are within the range of 100-110, and that's not smart either. By the time you get to an IQ of 120+ (which is pretty high), you're looking at about 5% of the population.

If you're in the 180s, you're probably fictional.
Anything over 120 is damn good (it's within -IIRC- the top 5-10% of humanity).
