I like Nicko. I bet he did it for his kids or something or perhaps all those years with Iron Maiden had finally blown a fuse.

there is a boxset of all the early singles of iron maiden where each disc has him telling a story, bloody amusing stuff.

This is a normal post Listen With Nicko from the First Ten Years box set...
at the end of every CD he explains bits about where the band were at that stage of their career...and has an "answerphone" message at the end for some reason.
