Another appalling combination
was one I read about in New York a few years ago. It was New Year's Eve and the local paper had a round-up of their favourite quotes of the year. One that caught my eye was, "That was the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted. You'll have to excuse me, I think I'm going to puke."
The quote was from the paper's own intrepid reporter after he had just tried a new novelty food product: spamalamadingdong... chocolate-covered cubes of spam.
