I once bought a cooked and dressed lobster for 50p from Asda and left it on the kitchen table, planning to feed it to my cats after I'd had a brew and a sit-down.
As I sipped my tea I heard a clattering sound and turned just in time to spot the lobster running across the hall floor. F.A. the tomcat had abducted it and was dragging it away like a hostage.
He'd sniffed it out, unwrapped it and got it down from the table and was now off to enjoy his prize in peace. I left him to it - he deserved it. Bet that was the best thing HE ever ate.
