This is a question This book changed my life

The Goat writes, "Some books have made a huge impact on my life." It's true. It wasn't until the b3ta mods read the Flashman novels that we changed from mild-mannered computer operators into heavily-whiskered copulators, poltroons and all round bastards in a well-known cavalry regiment.

What books have changed the way you think, the way you live, or just gave you a rollicking good time?

Friendly hint: A bit of background rather than just a bunch of book titles would make your stories more readable

Hi WBM

I've posted elsewhere about the redoubtable Mrs Grimsdale - Xena to her friends, so I won't repeat myself, but she is living proof that no matter what these bastards, that abuse the most sacred trust we are given do, you are your own person and you can put it behind you. You will never forget or forgive, and it will have made you a different person to what you might have been, but one day, you'll be able to look back - as she can - at a wonderful, grown-up daughter of our own who has been kept away from that whole side of her family, and think "Yes, you might have stolen my childhood, but I took my life in my own hands and made something wonderful of it and you can't touch me now."

We don't know if her so-called father is still alive or not and to be perfectly frank we don't care.

Oh, and if a fella can't take your occasionable bouts of anger then forget him, we had some stormy times in those early years and I took some flak on behalf on men in general, but I think it made us stronger in the long run.

All the best,

Che
