This is a question Books

We love books. Tell us about your favourite books and authors, and why they are so good. And while you're at it - having dined out for years on the time I threw Dan Brown out of a train window - tell us who to avoid.

Well said.
Books aren't going anywhere any time soon. And anyway, eReaders, Kindles etc will do far less damage to the publishing industry than supermarkets 3 for 2 deals and £2.99 chick lit promotions ever will.

If people don't fancy a Kindle, good for them, but the 'only show off twats want Kindles' attitude is ridiculous. It's a cheap piece of kit that you can get in Asda, for fucks sake, it's hardly cutting edge hipster tech.

And if it helps people like you, then that's just fucking brilliant.

Kindle as the thing itself is too limited for me.
But as an app on say my Galaxy Tab? Perfection.

Cheers :)
There's room for all sorts of media as far as I'm concerned
