My mum told me to stand up to bullies. So I did, and got wedgied every day for a month. I hated my boss.

Where to begin.....
This is a multi-faceted argument. There are so many sides with which I can identify and empathise, as;
1) a parent;
2) a child who was bullied physically, mentally and emotionally for many years;
3) a learning support assistant who has worked in schools with special needs children for the last 9 years.

My initial reaction to reading this post was, "How lucky CP's daughter is to have him for her father. I wish mine had been more like him". I applaud CP for his no-shit approach to his daughter's school's lame attempts at "tackling bullying". I am more than familiar with the current "strategies" for bullying; all of which look good on paper, ticking the desired politically correct boxes for OFSTED et al, ad nauseum - none of which are effective.

As a parent, there are no lengths to which I wouldn't go to protect my boy. That sounds contrite - I mean if anyone threatened or did serious harm to the precious being for whose very existence I fought - there are no limits.

As for all teachers being bullies? Yes, there are some. Some of whom were born bullies and gravitated to the profession for that very reason - (easy prey) - lower than whale shit, those ones. Then there are the master teachers, who, despite all the current corporate bullshit guidelines and crap with which they must adhere, continually strive to do their utmost, imparting the thirst and enthusiasm for learning in our children. Never a mention do they warrant amongst the general criticism for our current education system.

The last point is the stickiest. CP is accused of, "Taking pleasure in the rape and death of a child." A rather ambiguous assumption, considering none of us know the full extent of the circumstances. He has mentioned a couple of physical scars; nothing of the mental and emotional scars which may well continue to affect his daughter throughout her life.

John Venables and Robert Thompson were "children" when they committed their atrocities, many of which were too vile to make general public knowledge. In proportion, from the small percentage I've read of that case, I'd have no hesitation whatsoever in nailing their respective cocks (with a blunt rusty 9" nail) to a table in a shed; setting the shed on fire, leaving them each with a blunt axe; then shooting the cunts anyway if they did break free.
